Overview

FuruBass-Fretless is an expressive fretless bass library recorded from a jazz Bass-style fretless bass with an epoxy-coated fingerboard, using the same studio gear and recording workflow that Japanese bassist, composer, and arranger Takahiro Furukawa uses in real-world recording sessions.

FuruBass is designed with one clear philosophy:
Never interrupt musical inspiration.

There are no complicated key switches, no deep menus, and no setup required.
Simply load the instrument and start playing — even basic MIDI input immediately produces a musical, fretless-like performance.

Thanks to its fast response and smooth sustain, FuruBass-Fretless covers everything from solid bass lines to lyrical, melodic phrases.
Its natural vibrato, slides, and legato behavior make it especially suited for expressive playing that feels alive and human.

Requires: Full version of KONTAKT 5.8.1 or later

User Interface

Articulation Labels

Adjusts the timing threshold between legato and portamento behavior (200–600 ms).
